Description In this era of world Christianity and the growing influence of the field of contextual theology, it has become customary to assert that all Christian theologies are contextual. What does this claim really mean, especially in relation to the nature of "loci theologici" (sources of theology)? To respond to this question, I will explore the features of a context and two related, albeit distinguishable roles that the context of a Christian community can play in Christian theology. Everyone interested in learning about the role of context in understanding Christian Community is invited.
